When its stated that all protective conductors of all power and lighting

it has to be done in the shortest possible configuration like straight from

the light fitting to the closest water pipe or could it be done just out 
side the bathroom where the water pipes continue to the rest of the house. 


It also says that circuit protective conductors may be used as 
supplementary bonding conductors, I am unclear as to what that means. />
Could someone please clarify this
l am aware of the 17th 
edition but l am asking for an explanation on the 16th edition and looking 
for info on the question l asked.

I think you will find the NICEIC are now on the 17th Edition
